Columbia, Maryland, Honors 19 Senior Brethren

The dinner began after church services on the Sabbath of June 4, 2016, with some of the youth from the congregation singing “All Things Bright and Beautiful” to welcome the guests. A few of the ladies in the congregation prepared dishes, and a few of the teens and young adults served a meal that included a salad of mixed greens, chicken marsala, a green bean medley, and mashed potatoes, with a side of polenta. Fresh fruit-topped pound cake slices completed the meal.

Each guest was given a scripture card made by the children in the congregation, and the glass that their dessert was served in. The seniors were addressed by Steve Diggins as he thanked them for their years of service and how they are now able to use their knowledge and experience to give encouragement and advice to the younger members of the congregation.
