How can disabled people like us join the feast like others? We can't go anywhere because of unable to walk or illness? Is it possible to have feast at local united church instead? I don't think it's fair to many who are aren't capable of traveling

Hello Regina.  Sorry to hear about your situation which prevents you from attending the Feast of Tabernacles in person.  Hundreds of people around the country each year are in similar situations.  I’ve been involved in Festival planning for 34 years and the Church has always tried to develop programs seeking to provide some spiritual nourishment for those in similar circumstances.  In the “old days” sermon tapes, CD’s were sent out that were related to the Feast.  Of course, that doesn’t provide personal fellowship.

Currently, the United Church of God provides two daily live webcasts of Church services.  One from both sides of the United States from different time zones.  Another national program is that we try to gather the address of everyone not able to attend and then create large greeting cards signed by many people at a Feast site.  Many local congregations also make up gift baskets to be delivered before or during the Feast.  And some congregations print labels with the names of those not attending so people can write personal letters or post cards.  Please make sure your local pastor and congregation is aware of your situation.  It is easier to help on a local level where members live nearby.  Thank you for the reminder of the trial you cope with.

If you don’t have a local congregation or pastor send me an email at and we will have someone contact you.
