Northwest Camp 2022

July 24, 2022 to July 31, 2022

Northwest Camp

Located between beautiful green coastal mountains, a private lake and one of the most pristine stretches of beach in the Pacific Northwest, Northwest camp at Camp Magruder offers spectacular scenic beauty and many challenging activities. Camp Magruder is isolated and private, so visiting with old friends and making new friends is natural! Christian Living lessons and daily themes based on this year’s theme, “Becoming Sons and Daughters of God,” will illustrate from Scripture that our lives should be built on the foundation of God’s Word and our calling to be a part of His eternal family.

The activities and lessons will focus on how campers can use God’s Word as a guide to make decisions every day. Camp atmosphere is called “the Zone,” an environment that reflects the principles and standards of the Kingdom of God. Activities during the day will teach practical implementation of the lessons in addition to teaching skills and having fun. Each day ends with campfire activities, songs and a campfire story as we watch the sun set over the Pacific Ocean. Beach activities include volleyball, boogie boarding and speedaway. Campers will also enjoy waterskiing, archery, pickleball, arts and crafts, dance, softball, kayaking, an evening ride on the 1925 Oregon Coastal Scenic Train and an end-of-camp dinner banquet and dance.

Campers should arrive at Northwest Camp between 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, July 24. Campers can plan to depart on Sunday, July 31, at 9-10 a.m. Transportation to and from the Portland airport to Northwest Camp will be provided. Our camps could not operate without qualified and dedicated volunteer staff members. Counselor training will be in the Portland area on Friday, July 22. Activity staff should plan to arrive at Camp Magruder in time for 2 p.m. Sabbath services on July 23.
