Personal From Ministerial and Member Services

September 22, 2022

After gathering much input from current preteen and teen camp directors, from regional pastors and from members of the Council of Elders, I am very happy to announce that Len Martin will be our new UYC Coordinator and Aaron Creech will be the UYC Assistant Coordinator.

Len and Aaron will work together as we strive to improve an already outstanding camp program. Our camp program is a tremendous benefit to our preteens and teens, as it also provides valuable opportunities to learn Christ-like servant leadership for our dedicated staff, both teen and adult.

Len Martin first started to serve at camp as counselor for the youngest boys’ dorm at preteen Camp Buckeye in 2001. He continued to serve in that capacity for 10 years until he was asked to become camp director for Camp Buckeye in 2011. Len has also directed one of the teen camps, Camp Cotubic (2016 and 2017), as well as a youth camp in Brazil (2015 and 2016). For the time being, Len will continue to serve as camp director for preteen Camp Buckeye.

Aaron Creech attended UYC teen camp as a camper from 2004-2008 and has commented that those camp experiences were instrumental in helping him choose God’s way of life. Along with his wife, Whitney, Aaron has served over the last 13 years at teen camps Cotubic, Pinecrest, Hye Sierra, Winter Camp and Southwest Camp, as well as at preteen camps Seven Mountains and Northwest, and also the Challenger West program for young adults. Aaron is currently our director for two teen camps, Southwest and Winter Camp.

Our camp program is in good hands under the direct supervision of both Len and Aaron. We are now beginning to plan camp meetings for all our camp directors, both teen and preteen, in Cincinnati sometime in November.

Please join us in praying for God’s continued blessings upon our camp program and upon all our children in God’s Church. We also greatly appreciate all our parents who endeavor to provide these camp experiences for their children.

May you all have a very inspiring Sabbath and Feast of Trumpets!
