Portsmouth, Ohio, Recent Activities

The Portsmouth, Ohio, congregation has been busy participating in many activities over the last several months. We concluded our Year of Giving project with donations to various shelters and agencies. Our young people took turns coordinating these projects, which were very well received.

After wrapping the project up, Daniel and Dawn Evans coordinated our second international night around the globe with foods from about a dozen different places. We enjoyed foods from Egypt all the way to southern Kentucky. All left full and happy, looking forward to next year’s trip around the world.

Recently about 50 brethren were able to get together at Butler Springs Camp on Aug. 20 for our annual church picnic. Bill and Darlene Helterbrand coordinated this, and we were able to enjoy food, fellowship, swimming and ice cream all afternoon.

Yum! Spaghetti by the bowls full! About 70 brethren gathered for a yearly tradition of spaghetti, bread and desserts at Reggie and Sandy Warren’s home on Sept. 9. The weather cooperated and we were able to spend all afternoon together after Sabbath services. Lots of fun had by all.

I was informed that there's a Spiritual growth training workbook issued by Mr. Kevin Call, does anyone know where I can find a copy of it? Thanks Marcela S.
