The program was structured to give as many opportunities for learning as possible; going to class at the home office gave access to more spiritual resources than I had ever been exposed to before. On almost a daily basis, I was able to have conversations with ministers who had been teaching and serving God’s people for decades. I found that by getting involved in chorale, student government, class socials and charity auction planning, I had the full experience intended by the ABC program.

Every class was packed full of biblical insight, and I walked away with binders full of maps, notes and illustrations. I was a graduate of the Class of 2020, which meant that our instruction was online for the second half of the year. That experience hit home that ABC is meant to refocus its students on the Bible and to give a spiritual foundation to hopefully last a lifetime. The social events at ABC are designed to augment that experience, not distract from it.

The full immersion quality of the ABC program is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Although taking 9 months away from work and school can be very difficult, I would consider it one of the best decisions I’ve made. I knew I would learn a lot about God’s Word, but I had no idea the richness and quality of life that would come from dedicating that time to pursuing my Creator.
