Building Repairs in Lilongwe, Malawi
Several areas of concern have become hazardous and are in desperate need of repair.
The Lilongwe, Malawi congregation owns property and a building where they meet each week. However, several areas on the property have become hazardous. The first is a security wall that is bowing and at risk of collapsing. The second is a "latrine" that is becoming a health hazard from cracks in the walls and foundation and inadequate sewage. This building will be demolished and will be upgraded to flush toilets connected to the sewer system. Finally, the reserve water tank on the property has recently been inspected by city officials and found to be lacking in drainage and circulation of the water, so a new tank is needed.
