This year’s Feast of Tabernacles in Nigeria took place at the Upper Spring Resort, Iwaraja (north of Ilesha in Osun state located in the southwestern region of Nigeria). Brethren from the three church areas and outlying areas of Nigeria converged at the Feast site for a much-anticipated foretaste of God’s Kingdom complete with fellowship, messages and activities; the highest attendance was 126. Our senior pastor Paul Moody was able to keep the Feast with us and this greatly encouraged and strengthened the brethren in feeling like a global family of believers. All the messages the speakers shared were inspiring, encouraging and thoroughly stimulating.

Apart from the daily inspiring messages, there were activities including children’s day, youth day, single’s day, sports day and family fun day and a daily one-hour period watching the movie series “The Chosen” that covered the life of Jesus with particular focus on the background stories and perspectives of the characters in His life. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.

As has been our tradition for the past four years, we provided wonderful Feast souvenirs for everybody, by category. Linda and Felicia Marquez and so many others in Spokane blessed us with personalized gifts for every age group. These exquisite gifts added to the special nature of the Feast atmosphere this year. We extend our sincere thanks to these women and other brethren for their labors and gifts of love.

On October 16th, a father and son (longtime baptized members of God’s church) got to witness the baptism of another family member, their wife/mother!

We thank our brothers and sisters in congregations abroad for their prayers and love that made our Feast richer in meals and fellowship. Most of all, we thank our Heavenly Father for another spiritual boost to help us focus on His Kingdom, the Work He is doing in, and with, all of His children worldwide, and the ability to keep the faith regardless of all that’s happening locally and globally.
