2022 Feast of Tabernacles
Momé Hagou, Togo
It is with abundant joy that the two congregations in Togo met to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles 2022. We were not able to observe the Feast for the past two years due to government restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. Being able to meet again was like a balm for our hearts and filled our time together with joy and friendship. We were doubly blessed as well, as right before the Feast we finished construction on a dormitory with six bedrooms at our church property in Momé Hagou, thanks to assistance from church members in the United States. Momé Hagou is a village located approximately 90 kilometers northeast from the capital of Lomé where we also have a congregation and church hall. There were 32 people present for the Feast. Each evening was watered by gentle rains as we began the second rainy season in this part of the country.
We followed with attention the sermons and sermonettes given in French and translated into Ewe on each of the eight days. The ladies and youth of the congregation generously provided special music each day as well as preparing our delicious communal meals. After eight days we left the Feast with warm feelings for one another and anticipated being able to meet again next year.
