Beautiful Amish country in Walnut Creek, Ohio, provided a millennial setting for the 170 brethren celebrating the Feast of Tabernacles. The spectacular, colorful hills of Holmes County and bright blue skies provided the perfect setting for this Feast. Services were held at Timbercrest Camp & RV Park in a big top tent.

The Kingdom-focused messages and special music illuminated God’s awesome love, grace, hope and promises in the context of the Holy Days. In addition to services, we held Bible studies, hymn singing, a musical concert by Mark Graham and a seminar on the seven churches of Revelation 2 and 3 by Darris McNeely.

The campfire area next to the tent provided warmth and was the perfect spot for many hours of fun and fellowship. Sharing iron kettle soup, kettle popcorn, chicken and hamburgers was a highlight of many evenings.

The youth enjoyed an afternoon of fishing at a local farm lake. A guided tour through the colorful Amish countryside on a wagon provided an enjoyable Sunday afternoon activity.

The brethren also had the opportunity to visit the Amish Country Theater for a comedy show, learn about the history of the Amish and Mennonites at the Behalt Museum, feed safari animals at The Farm at Walnut Creek and browse at the famous Lehman’s Hardware store where items Grandma and Grandpa used can still be purchased. The many local shops provided plenty of opportunities to enjoy Swiss cheese, homemade chocolates, crafts, baked goods and much more.

The Feast concluded with farewell fellowship around the campfire after the Last Great Day, giving us one last opportunity to visit. This year the group experienced an exceptional spiritually enriching Feast with gladness. To God be the glory!
