2023 Feast of Tabernacles
Galveston, Texas
Approximately 550 persons rejoiced at the Feast in Galveston, in 2023. Attendance was solid throughout the Feast as many inspiring and uplifting messages were heard about our bright future as firstfruits and about real, lasting, eternal hope for all mankind!
The Galveston Convention Center is directly across the street from beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico. Members were able to fellowship before and after services while these picturesque views were enjoyed through many large windows facing the sea. Several days of the Feast were highlighted with refreshing “sea-winds crashing” on the shore.
More importantly, we experienced an opportunity to rejoice in our calling and to give thanks and praise to God the Father and Jesus Christ, who make our lives so rich and fulfilling.
Galveston has a lot to offer as a Feast site, with expansive beaches and many historic sites, such as the Galveston Railroad Museum and the Galveston Naval Museum, various mansions and the historic Strand, a street in downtown Galveston. Pleasure Pier, an amusement park less than half a mile from the convention center, was certainly enjoyed by families with children. Moody Gardens also has much to offer for families, with an aquarium, extensive rain forest, an emphasis upon wildlife and conservation and a variety of amusement park rides. Also, a visit to NASA was appreciated by many, as it is only about a 45-minute drive from Galveston.
A family dance was well attended and enjoyed by all midway through the Feast.
There are currently no plans to return to Galveston in 2024, but hopefully this site will be utilized again in the near future.
