The Sound of a Trumpet

Hello Brethren,

Help is on the way. Christ is coming. In the not-too-distant future, "the sign of the Son of Man" will appear in heaven (Matthew 24:30)! He will come "on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory" (same verse). The seventh angel of Revelation will sound his trumpet, and there will be loud voices in heaven. They will say, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" (Revelation 11:15). Oh, what a day, and may it come soon!

God will "send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet" (Matthew 24:31). They will "gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other" (same verse). If you are ready when that trumpet sounds, God will raise you to incorruptible glory. For "we shall be changed" (1 Corinthians 15:52)! The meaning of this Feast of Trumpets ought to stir hope in your heart. It ought to inspire you to renew your efforts to stand in the presence of God at His appearing. For when Christ comes again, your eternal reign with God will begin.

In that day, the mountain of the Lord "shall be established on the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills" (Micah 4:1). And "many nations shall come and say, 'Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.'" (Verse 2). What a great blessing for us to know that this is the solution to the world's problems.

Things look bleak for the immediate future, but this will not last too long. Soon, our troubles in this world will be over. What a day that will be when the trumpet sounds! May we all be rejoicing when it does! Be ready to hear the sound of the trumpet. It will not be much longer, for Christ says, "Surely I am coming quickly (Revelation 22:20)!
