Pastor's Corner - July 29th, 2022

Greetings from Northwest Camp!

We've had a wonderful week here at Northwest, with weather in the 60's and 70's, and mostly overcast conditions for the week, which has led to the frequent chatter of teeth on the water activities, but have kept the rest of our activities nice and cool. God has blessed us immensely with no COVID cases to this point, and only minimal injuries. Thank you so much for your prayers. God has heard, and answered.

This afternoon, we have our final set of activities, and cleanup, and packing up the shed is taking place in those activities that are completed already so there is less work to be done Saturday night and Sunday morning. NW is blessed with an incredible staff year after year, that is able to make sure that everything that needs to get done gets done.

This is Mr. Sexton's final year directing Northwest Camp, and he is handing off the reins to Shannon and I to keep it going year after year. They have become a fixture at Northwest, and we're going to work very hard to get them to come back in some capacity.

Following camp, I am unpacking, doing laundry, repacking and on a plane to Nigeria Wednesday morning for a significant portion of the month of August. Paul and I will be putting on the camp in Nigeria, and then taking a trip to Ghana to check in on several of the congregations, provide some leadership training, and meet with a congregation interested in becoming a part of United. There is much to be done, and we appreciate your prayers on our behalf - that we might be able to do God's work, and serve His people in the West African region.

This year, I'll be home in time for the Honeyman campout, which I look forward to very much, and hope to spend some good quaility time with those who will be camping there.

Thank you for your ongoing love and care, thank you for your support, and thank you for your prayers.

With Love,
Ben
