Pastors Corner - July 8th, 2022

I hope that this quick note finds you all well.

We're hanging in there over here. As many of you are aware, and was mentioned in the eNews this week -- we had an outbreak of COVID at our NW Ministerial Conference June 26th - June 28th. There wasn't an attendee that wasn't affected in some way, with the vast majority of those Pastors, retired Pastors and wives that attended coming down ill with COVID-19. 

Shannon began to feel ill Tuesday evening, and despite a couple of negative tests early on, tested positive Thursday evening of that week. Desmond went down shortly thereafter and tested positive, while the other two kids experienced symptoms, but didn't manage to test positive. I haven't exhibited symptoms aside from a significant fatigue, but unfortunately, am still under my 5 day quarantine - since Shannon didn't wrap up her quarantine period until Monday of this week, so my count doesn't start from until her quarantine ends. I've tested negative twice so far, and hoping for another negative on Sunday so that I can begin the second 5 day phase of my quarantine in which I can be out and masked. 

I appreciated the well wishes and contacts from those who emailed and called. It's been nice to connect, but will be even better when we have the chance to connect in person. The next few weeks have me entering into one of the craziest times of the year for me with NW Camp and a trip to Nigeria and Ghana following that in August, but hope to be clear and see you guys on the 24th of June before Camp starts.
