Pastor's Corner - September 2nd, 2022

As enjoyable as it can be to travel to far-flung lands, or even go camping with brethren - I'm always amazed how Dorothy was right. There really is no place like home.

The family and I are settling in after a very active and crazy conclusion to the summer, unfortunately in this past week dealing with some health challenges in the family that we're in the process of still trying to get some answers for. But we're easing back into the swing of things and the schedule of the ins and outs of the local pastorate. I'll be headed solo to Roseburg tomorrow while Shannon remains back with Mallory, but hopefully this health challenge will be resolved soon and we can be together again next Sabbath in Eugene.

I'm planning to swing by Albany after services in Roseburg (probably after services are concluded in Albany) given the timing, but looking forward to seeing everyone. It has definitely been far too long since the trip to Nigeria and Ghana, and the campout impacted services locally last Sabbath.

I've heard from many of you in the interim, and am happy that things are going well overall, but looking forward to connecting and checking in on many other aspects of life and getting a chance to visit and fellowship a bit.

Thank you for your patience, and for your willingness to share me with Mr. Moody and the brethren in West Africa. We had a very profitable trip, and it was a good opportunity to check in with the local congregations and check on the state of the flocks in that part of the world.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sabbath, and look forward to seeing as many of you as possible tomorrow.

With Love,
Ben
