Letter From Dan Preston

January 3, 2020

Good evening brethren and Happy Sabbath! It is good to be back home and I can't wait to see you all tomorrow!  Last week's memory verse was Matthew 24:42 (NKJV), "Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming." Read below to see which verse was made to be the memory verse this week.

The Long and Winding Road

I'm no truck driver, but I feel like I've spent six days on the road and finally made it home tonight.  With all the driving we do, we recently decided to start going to Cincinnati via I-40 to I-75. Mostly, we do this to avoid the tolls in West Virginia, which are now up to $12 each way!  While it does save money, it also requires going through some rather twisty parts of Western North Carolina and Tennessee. I thought West Virginia had twists and turns, but nothing compared to this new route!

A testament to their Creator

While these twisty roads take us a bit longer to traverse, we are treated to some amazing natural beauty - trees, rivers and LOTS of mountains.  All of which are stunningly beautiful and sing praises in their own song to God our creator.

As we drove through the mountains, I couldn't help but think of all of God's creation.  Not just the rivers and mountains, but all the life they sustain. The plants, the fish, the animals and of course - human life!

A greater accomplishment

I can't imagine how God must feel looking down on His creation.  Issues that we as human beings have caused aside, the creation itself is wonderful.  It must make Him feel good - no, strike that - very good, to not only see the creation, but know its wonderful future that lies ahead when His kingdom comes to Earth.

Have a good evening, and I'll see you in the morning!
