Letter From Daniel Deininger

Greetings from Kalispell!

What a blessing it is to live in Montana where we still seem to be partially shielded from much of the turmoil going on in our beloved nation. Yet we can not help but to sigh and cry as we see what is happening in our nation and around the world via the various news sources available to us.

In this message I want to focus on the "immigrant crisis" which is actually a more palatable name for the surge of illegal aliens coming across our borders and into our towns and cities.

I first want to remind you, as I have said before, that the cause of our many problems as a nation is due to our forsaking God and not keeping His commandments.  Many may not connect these dots, that is, that the cause of problem is our disobedience as a nation to God and His commandments. Maybe that is because they would rather blame someone else than even consider it may be our actions.  That's probably because everyone wants to think that they are "okay" and not doing anything wrong.

Deuteronomy 28:43 NKJV - "The alien who [is] among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower.
Deuteronomy 28:44 NKJV - "He shall lend to you, but you shall not lend to him; he shall be the head, and you shall be the tail.
Deuteronomy 28:45 NKJV - "Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.

Some recent news stories that validate this curse is upon us:

1. Illegal aliens voting.

2. Illegal aliens receiving free benefits at taxpayer expense.  Searching on the phrase "illegals receive free housing" on the Fox News site resulted in over a 1000 articles. https://www.foxnews.com/search-results/search?q=illegals%20receiving%20free%20housing    While many American citizens struggle to make ends meet, and may be doing without, many living below the poverty line, but illegal aliens are receiving many services for free.   Housing, cell phones, health care, prepaid debit cards.  Even some states trying to offer unemployment benefits.  There are stories of schools (in NYC) being used to house illegal aliens and students being forced to do remote learning.

3. The third area is crime and violence against citizens. Some crimes have been highly publicized, such as the murder of Laken Riley in Georgia, or the policemen being attacked in Times Square. A search of the Fox News site for illegal alien crime results in over 9000 articles.  https://www.foxnews.com/search-results/search?q=illegal%20alien%20crime.

The bible calls all these issues part of a curse.  A curse we are suffering as a result of not obeying God.

The prophet Hosea also speaks to this:

Hosea 7:9 NKJV - Aliens have devoured his strength, But he does not know [it]; Yes, gray hairs are here and there on him, Yet he does not know [it].
Hosea 7:10 NKJV - And the pride of Israel testifies to his face, But they do not return to the LORD their God, Nor seek Him for all this.

The New Living Translation is even clearer and sounds like much that we see in the news:

Hosea 7:9 NLT - Worshiping foreign gods
has sapped their strength, but they don't even know it. Their hair is gray, but they don't realize they're old and weak.

Doesn't the above remind us of our president and his age?

Hosea 7:10 NLT - Their arrogance testifies against them, yet they don't return to the LORD their God or even try to find him.

People won't even consider they may have done something to upset God. They won't even consider that God exists.

Hosea 7:11 NLT - "The people of Israel have become like silly, witless doves, first calling to Egypt, then flying to Assyria for help.

Doesn't remind us of Secretary of State or the "Energy Czar" flying around to different nations to try to rally them to support OUR ideas and agenda in the world

Hosea 7:12 NLT - But as they fly about, I will throw my net over them and bring them down like a bird from the sky. I will punish them for all the evil they do.

Again, Hosea, as Moses wrote in Deuteronomy, says we will be punished for the evil we do.

What are the lessons for us?

First, that we need to continuously be examining ourselves to eliminate any sin or shortcomings in our lives . This certainly ties into the self examination we should be doing before Passover.   We need to put out the sin we find within us, as the Days of Unleavened Bread picture.  We need to be sure we are not arrogantly thinking we are so righteous that we have no sin to get rid of.

Second, we need to personally be striving to live in a manner pleasing to God and worthy of His blessings.  Keeping His commandments, and not thinking they are done away or don't apply to us.

Thirdly, we should be staying close to God in prayer, beseeching Him for a number of things:

  • His mercy toward both ourselves and this nation.
  • That He would open more individuals eyes to see that they need to live much more like He wants us - keeping His laws and commandments, and especially His Sabbath and Holy Days.
  • That He would hasten the return of Jesus back to this earth to set up His Kingdom.

Wishing you all a good Sabbath!

Warm regards,
