Dear Brethren,
I don't know about you, but in conversations with family, friends and acquaintances outside the church, there are many who sense something is very wrong with our nation.
Not long ago, if you would have mentioned to friends or neighbors that this country was in danger of moral or economic collapse, many would have disbelieved. But now, more and more people are making comments that they too sense something is wrong. And these issues are not limited to just the United States, but other nations as well.
Why is this world in such a mess?
Simply answered, this is not God's world.
God has allowed Satan for a time to be the ruler of this world. This is a world of get and not give, of hatred and not love, of competition,  not cooperation or team work. The Devil has "deceived the whole world" (Revelation 12:9) And all of us have been affected to one degree or another.
But we know and have hope of a better world coming.  The only hope is the message that Jesus Christ brought from the Father. The Good News that He is going to return to this earth to establish God's Government on earth, bring peace, judgment and justice (Isaiah 9:6-7).
As God says in Mark 1:15, "the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel". Knowing this is a certainty, let's examine ourselves and repent of our ways of living and put our trust in God. He is the only one who can deliver us - and this world.
As we enter this fall Holy Day season and rehearse the reality of God's plan for mankind and His coming kingdom, let's rededicate ourselves to being His servants and following the example of His son, Jesus Christ.
