Letter From Jim Tuck

January 26, 2018

Dear brethren,

The news today reported the world now stands at 2 MINUTES to MIDNIGHT on the DOOMSDAY CLOCK.  This is not a surprise to anyone watching events transpiring in North Korea and other hot spots around the globe. The world is a tense place these days.

The world is on the verge of destruction more than any time since the cold war of 1953.  It is apparent the world is dividing up into conglomerates of nations like the Allied and Axis powers of World War II.   In the Mideast there is an anti-Israel axis being brought together to destroy Israel and push them into the sea.

When Christ spoke on the Mount of Olives, He warned about commotions and wars in various places, but we should not be greatly alarmed.  He said these things were a precursor to other things which would come.

Jesus warned in Matt. 24:7 about earthquakes in diverse places. Alaska had a powerful earthquake at 7.9 magnitude, and today California was hit with three quakes. One measured 5.8 on the Richter scale, 100 miles off the coast of Eureka, while a second and third hit in cities near Los Angeles at Trabuco Canyon and Lytle Creek 2.5 and 4.0 magnitude respectively.  The Eureka quake was thankfully far enough out in the ocean that the vibrations didn't impact the coast much, and no damage took place.

The gospel of Luke says it this way, "But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately."  Then He said to them, "Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven." (Lk. 21:9-11)

Scientists have been saying for a long time California is long overdue for a massive earthquake, and that possibility may become reality sooner than we think.

Luke 21 says the brethren would be drawn before counsels and kings and put in prison as a witness and testimony for Christ.   Matthew warned of a persecution and affliction placed on the church when some of the saints would be put to death.

Jesus called these things the beginning of sorrows. We can be sure all Jesus Christ foretold will come to pass in the Olivet prophecy, and it behooves us to stay alert spiritually as we near the greatest crisis man has ever known.  (Daniel 12:1, Mat. 24:21-22)

We must remind ourselves daily our deliverance depends on our relationship with the Deliver.

Please have a wonderful Sabbath!

Your servant in Christ,

Jim Tuck
