Letter From Jim Tuck

September 7, 2018

Dear brethren,

When I think about God's plan of salvation for all mankind it causes me great joy.  It is hard to fully realize God has given us so much understanding of what He is doing!

This coming Sunday evening we begin the Feast of Trumpets picturing momentous events which will undoubtedly transform the world.  Trumpets pictures the return of Jesus Christ and the resurrection of the saints.

When Christ returns He will establish His government in Jerusalem and the saints will assist Him in the transformation process for the next 1000 years.

Much will happen prior to His return since the Beast must come on the scene, and the False Prophet will emerge.  The Beast will claim he is god, and the world will be seduced by him.  Even the saints could be deceived by his smooth, soothing rhetoric if we don't stay spiritually on guard!  (II Thes. 2:3-5, 11-12, Matt. 24:24)

The nations of this world will not be happy to see the return of Jesus as the King of kings and Lord of lords.  They will be enraged and launch an assault on Christ and the angels, but be quickly defeated. (Rev 11:18, 17:14)

One of the first things Jesus Christ will do when He returns is take the beast and the false prophet and throw them in the lake of fire. Satan and the demons will be bound for a 1000 years.  (Rev. 19:19-20, Rev. 20:1-3)

God will cut off the head of the serpent, as it were, and then without Satan's wavelength which has pervaded this world.  Mankind will more readily receive the truth. (Eph. 2:1-2) Satan is called the prince of the power of the air, and God will shut it down!

Most all people then will have a different attitude toward God, and they will want to know the truth and not resist it.  Those called now will work with Jesus Christ out of Jerusalem and will help carry the gospel to the nations of the earth.  (Isa. 2:1-4, Micah 4:1-5)

Jesus taught His disciples to pray "Your Kingdom come, and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven."  In heaven, God's Holy laws are place and all willingly obey. The angels know it is the only way to live.  God will cause the whole world to abide by His holy and good laws.  (Rom 7:12)

The saints dwelling with Christ in Jerusalem will be utilized to take God's precious laws to the nations. Instead of learning how to make war the saints will teach people about godly love and how to make peace. (Isa 2:3)

God's plan is beautiful to consider and think about as we live in a world swirling about with vanity, jealousy, lust, and greed.  On top of all that is the violence, war, and utter confusion which Satan broadcasts to the world. (II Cor. 4:3-4) We will assist Christ to change all that, and we'll help bring about a utopia.

God has allowed us to see and know these things in advance of the rest of the world.  Most would scoff at what the Bible reveals, and they would think it is foolish.  (I Cor 2:14)

The Father has drawn us to Christ (Jn. 6:44), and we have been given understanding which the world just cannot see.  Jesus told His disciples that He didn't call them servants, but He called them friends.  He said a servant doesn't know what his master is doing, but He revealed to the disciples what His Father made known to Him.(Jn. 15:15)

The same is true for those called disciples of Christ today.  We have been made aware of God's mighty and wonderful plan.  We are friends of Christ.

Please have a wonderful Sabbath!

Your friend and servant,
