A Time for personal examination

           For all who love the word of God, a time is fast approaching that needs to be deeply considered by each of us.   It is a time of personal examination regarding your status with God and Jesus Christ our savior [II Cor. 13:5].  The Scripture is a probing instrument in God's hand that reveals our strengths and weaknesses, encouraging and convicting.  It judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart [Heb. 4:12].   We need our God to reveal the hidden issues of our heart and mind that defeat us in the battle of overcoming as we are commanded to do [Rev. 3:21].

          Silence in God's presence is KEY to self-examination!  We are told in [Psalm 46:10] "Be still and know that I am God."   There is nothing so searching as being silent in God's presence. Set aside some time for silence and listen to the voice of God.  [I Cor. 6:19]  "Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?"  He speaks to us with a gentle whisper in the sanctuary of our innermost being.   Regular reading or listening to the sacred words of God from the Bible helps us to live the examined life God requires of us as we approach the Passover season.   Until next time...
