In reference to the sermon today (August 10), there are no clear proofs that America and the British Commonwealth are descendants of Israel and therefore got the promises of Abraham. A few quick points.. 1. The people of England whom eventually came to America are native Europeans and DNA analysis could easily prove that.. Bear in mind that Joseph had his sons with an Egyptian, so at best they would be mixed race. Seems there is a lack of Knowledge regarding the various tribes of the British Islands as well. 2. Israel is always understood to be the 12 tribes despite some spit with Judah. Paul use the term Israel to include both Jews and other Tribes in Romans 10 and also in James 1:1 it is all tribes. Peter use the term Men of Israel in Acts. The blessings and curses would apply to all the tribes as one unit. Also Christ considered himself in Israel while on earth. This is the biggest flaw in Anglo-Israelism claims. 3. Using Deut 28 is also misleading in this context, it is specific to the covenant with Israel which means the blessings were conditional. We can all agree that Israel did experience the curses Israel will return and God loves us all..

Hello Mr. Morley, I appreciate your comment, though I disagree that there is no proof of Israel's modern identity. Obviously there has been mixing with other peoples through the ages. This is a reason I prefer to focus on the promises God made and the historical evidence of them being fulfilled. Obviously some will disagree with that conclusion. Like belief in the Bible as God's Word, faith is an important part of the total evidence--not blind faith, by any means, but faith nonetheless.
