David Jones explains the story of the Exodus when Israel went out in haste, without delay. We are told that unleavened bread was brought with them on their journey that represented a fresh new start, a new lump. During God's Holy Days, we are to be reminded of this new, humble beginning so that we also can take this lesson to heart in our own lives today and become like that fresh new lump, free of leaven and continue to renew ourselves and one another carrying this lesson into the future when it will be fulfilled in the coming Kingdom of God on this earth.
