To start our Passover preparation for this year Mr. Smith looks at the principle that "a little leaven leavens the whole lump." He shows how this principle is especially true in our day. Today we see things accepted and even labeled as desirable that would have never been allowed a decade ago. We need to examine ourselves to be sure that what is happening in our society is not also happening in our lives. If we see sin entering our lives from the society around us, we need to purge it out so that we can observe the spring holy days in spirit and truth.
Gary Smith was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, but spent most of his youth in the Pasadena, California area. He graduated from Ambassador College in 1976 and he and his wife, Liz, moved to Peoria, Illinois. For the next six years he worked as a nursing home administrator in Illinois, Ohio, and Texas.
In 1982, he and Liz began to serve in the full-time ministry. Since that time, they have served in a number of congregations in the Midwest.
Gary and Liz now pastor in Houston, Texas near their two children and grandson.
