While we know that physical sleep is necessary for good health, spiritual sleep is a danger that the Bible warns us to guard against. We recognize it is a great blessing if we live in a nation that grants religious freedom, but if we're not staying alert, it can also lull us into complacency. Perhaps it's time to take an honest look at our present spiritual condition to help prevent us from falling asleep to a satanic lullaby.

Len Martin is the pastor of the United Church of God congregations in Cambridge, Columbus, and Mansfield, Ohio. Ordained in 1999, Len has previously served congregations in Worcester, Massachusetts, Seabrook, New Hampshire, Ann Arbor & Lansing, Michigan and Dayton, Ohio. Len also serves as Camp Director for Pre-teen Camp Buckeye.
