Jesus tells us that we need to not only hear what He says, but also do what He says. He wants us to take action. In order to accomplish this, it's important for us to have a solid foundation in our lives, for those who don't will not be able to endure the storms of life. God established all of the Holy Days, and how we prepare for, and keep, them sends a powerful message to Him. There's more to it than just showing up. We each need to prepare physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Let's ask ourselves, "Are we really ready for the Fall Holy Days?"

Len Martin is the pastor of the United Church of God congregations in Cambridge, Columbus, and Mansfield, Ohio. Ordained in 1999, Len has previously served congregations in Worcester, Massachusetts, Seabrook, New Hampshire, Ann Arbor & Lansing, Michigan and Dayton, Ohio. Len also serves as Camp Director for Pre-teen Camp Buckeye.
