We are told in Galatians:5:17 that the Flesh Lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh and that these are contrary to one another. They war against each other and we can't live both ways. In Galatians:5:16 we are told that we are to walk in the Spirit and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. Verses 19 through 23 identify the lusts of the flesh and the fruit of the spirit. In John 15 we are told that Christ is the vine and His Father is the husbandman and we must abide in the vine to produce fruit. This requires we live producing the fruit of the spirit. We are reminded in 1 Corinthians:11:28 that we are to examine ourselves prior to taking the Passover. As we approach the Passover let us examine ourselves to ensure we are part of the vine (Jesus Christ) walking in the fruit of the spirit.
