In this sermonette given, we will go through various verses of 1 Peter 1-2, with the capstone verse being 1 Peter 1:16 – Be holy, for I am holy. We’ll talk about how being at the Feast of Tabernacles mirrors this life we live. Both are temporary periods of time in which our conduct should fall in line with 1 Peter 1:16. I will briefly get specific on a few things we should do and not do at the feast in order to be holy people. Hopefully to set the stage for a spiritually oriented feast. The other verses in 1 Peter 1 and 2 we’ll read to support the point that both the feast and this physical life are temporary periods of time, and we can have the living hope of our inheritance – incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. But to get there, we must be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
