We often read but fail to understand the profundity of 1 Peter 3:15 "But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense [answer KJV] to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;" This scripture goes to the very depth of our calling. It speaks to why we are here at services today to learn about God's word, why we strive to obey God, and why we believe we have a future inheritance in the Kingdom of God. This message probes the depths of this scripture to help each of us to come to know its relevance in our lives.

Dan Taylor serves as the pastor of the Lubbock, Texas  United Church of God congregation. He is married and he and his wife Corinne have of two children. He formerly served as a writer and head of the research department for the Plain Truth and other other Church publications for 13 years. Prior to serving as pastor he worked in the high tech field for 22 years.
