In my last message, we discussed whether or not the Bible teaches predestination. What we discovered was that the Bible does not teach that our lives are choiceless, predestined, nor dead-ends driven by our DNA or some celestial script beyond our control. There is no unshakeable plan in which some are specifically predestined to be saved, while others condemned. Rather, God has given us precious gifts: free will (the ability to choose) and His wonderful plan and purpose to bring many sons and daughters into His family. These gifts are what God has predestined for His creation. In this message we will examine a specific subset of the common teaching on predestination called "Once saved, always saved". Let's understand this doctrine in light of the scriptures.
