God has called us to run with horses, what does that mean? How can He expect that of us? It can sound intimidating and impossible until we realize God gives us the power to do the impossible, to overcome impossible odds in our life.

    Great sermon! I would point out that racing faster than a horse is not an impossible thing. Paul's analogies to running a race are also thought to be a distance race rather than a sprint which gives humans an advantage. Horses also slow down in the heat more compared to humans and heat is a nice analogy to trials. Humans tend to do better on trails too which goes nicely with the narrow gate/path parable. Elijah running with horses is actually humanly possible since they were pulling chariots and humans were probably more fit back then and the distance is thought to be at least 22 miles. I like to think that running with the horses shows us that we are more capable than we think we are. We can do more physically, mentally, and spiritually than we think we can and this is without God's intervention, just image what we can do with his help.
