Many in the religious and secular world are aware of the pagan origins of Christmas and associated traditions. Arguments such as “I focus on Christ”, “I don’t worship the tree”, “Traditions are everywhere”, and “God looks on the heart” create significant challenges for many of us. The essence of the argument: Christmas is good (the claim) because it focuses on Christ (the reason) and we pray, have family time, go to church, and help the needy (evidence). How do you respond?
