While visiting Ireland years ago, I visited the beautiful Cliffs of Lorre overlooking the Atlantic. Those cliffs have many walking paths, some of which look safe but are extremely dangerous (with unstable ground that can crumble and unpredictably shifting winds). These paths have warning signs that were placed there to protect people by giving them a healthy fear of those paths. By analogy, God in His love for us has given warnings that we should heed with a health godly fear. Christians need the godly "fear and trembling" described in Philippians 2:12 and other scriptures.
