Do you know that 80% of the population of the United States will observe Easter? This is approximately 262 billion people! Easter is primarily focused on Christ’s resurrection, but does not present the whole package which is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Easter misses the meaning as to why Christ died for us and the importance of His death. Easter hides what we are commanded to do and that is to keep the memorial of the sacrifice of our Lord and savior. Easter also hides the true symbols and meanings that Christ instituted to be used during the Passover by presenting pagan symbols like the rabbit and the egg. From its very beginning the Easter holiday has been a pagan substitution for the Lord’s Passover. From the miscounting of the three days in the tomb to the debauchery and commercialism that we see that it has become today. Let’s look at Easter and how its history and symbolisms have hidden Passover.
