There is a faulty assumption among Mainstream Christianity that implies if some element of the law has been fulfilled, then its observance has been abolished. Jesus Christ, as our Eternal High Priest, has fulfilled the ritual elements surrounding the Day of Atonement. Does this mean the observance of the Day of Atonement is done away? We will explore this topic both from their own Mainstream liturgy as well as from specific biblical instructions that would imply otherwise.
