Jesus said, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (John 14:23). This sermon is an analogy. Most sermons about the Holy Spirit are about what the Holy Spirit does for us. This sermon is about what we should do for the Holy Spirit. We generally want our homes to extra clean and neat when we are expecting company. How much more should we want to keep our thoughts and actions spiritually clean and pure so we “do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God” (Ephesians 4:30).
