Who was the God of the Old Testament? Many people believe the God of the Old Testament was a cruel, harsh God that had many strict laws that were impossible to follow; and that Jesus Christ came along to do away with those laws. This sermon proves from the Bible that Jesus Christ was the one who created all things, and that He was the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob; that He was the one that led Israel out of Egypt.

Thank you Shaun for your comment. Comments are always welcome. True, Acts 3:13 and Acts 5:30-31 at first glance do appear to say that the Father alone was our forefather. We have to remember that God is a family composed of the Father and the Son. My physical father and my physical grandfather are my physical forefathers. Numerous scriptures as shown in my sermon show that it was Jesus the Son that was interactive in the activities of the old testament. Jesus tells us that no man had ever seen or heard the voice of the Father, yet Adam and Eve walked with God, Abraham ate a meal with God, Jacob wrestled with God, and the whole nation of Israel heard God speak the ten commandments. The Father could not have been the God that ancient Israel interacted with. Our free booklet, "Who Is God?" explains in detail the very nature of God.

Not trying to be critical of the message but, in no way do I think this "proved" Christ was the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. Given the very clear statements made by Peter and the other apostles in Acts 3:13 and Acts 5:30-31 amongst numerous others, I'm not sure why we would want to "prove" their statements to be incorrect. shaun
