The first day of life you have nothing. You came into the world that day. You will leave it that way. From that moment, you have no resources, no protection that you know of, and no hope. You begin to travel, without even knowing you are going anywhere. Some see on this road trip of life that there must be a designer, there must be a Creator, and if so, there must be a map. Each religion provides its own writings to try to provide this. The problem with having all these maps is that is causes confusion, and not all maps lead in the same direction.

Sermon Notes

Mr. Galen Morrison The first day of life you have nothing. You came into the world that day. You will leave it that way. From that moment, you have no resources, no protection that you know of, and no hope. You begin to travel, without even knowing you are going anywhere. God gave us self awareness and the ability to function. Why does he allow us to function without his direction sometimes? Some see on this road trip of life that there must be a designer, their must be a creator, and if so, there must be a map. Each religion provides its own writings to try to provide this. The problem with having all these maps, is that is causes confusion, and not all maps lead in the same direction. Title: "Good, Evil and Life: The journey God allows" 1. Why do we sin? Almost every religion tells us that no matter what happens in this life, you have another life. One thing that religion doesn't teach is this….

Romans 6:23 Romans 6:23For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
American King James Version×
6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Do even Christian teachers understand this? Wages are what you get paid for doing something. If we get paid in death by our actions, how can there be another life? What about heaven? Don't we go straight to heaven? Hmmm.. It says death. But… The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. How can that be? So there is another life. What would we need for this it be a gift if we are already going to heaven? Ez. 18:4 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine. As the soul of the father, also the soul of the son, they are Mine. The soul that sins, it shall die. The soul that sins shall die. Verse 20 18:20 The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him Genesis 2:7 Genesis 2:7And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
American King James Version×
2:7 And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Man was created from something truly physical. Dust from the earth. Then God breathed into him and he became a living soul. A physical being. Man was given physical life. He was not at this point given spiritual life. Man, is he merely an animal? We live in the society who thinks that? Why does man and reasoning ability that all other animals don't have? Has anyone notices that we build cities, divide labor, care for one another and make war?

1 Corinthians 2:9 1 Corinthians 2:9But as it is written, Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love him.
American King James Version×
2:9 But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard," nor has it entered into the heart of man, "the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." Why? Why didn’t he tell us? No one knows the things of God except the spirit of God. 2:10 But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. 2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of man within him? So also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. God offered to man immortal life. God was made physically incomplete, and he allowed him to understand that by first having him name the animals. After going through that process, Adam probably understood there was no creature like him. After that God made woman. Then the creation of man was complete and God said you will become one. She was deceived. Adam was not deceived. He flat out disobeyed. Adam chose to take the wrong road, and chose not to follow the map. And ever since that has been the story of our life. It requires life to give life. We can even see this in the birth of a child. He who loses his life, will find it. Life comes from giving. God gave his only begotten son. Christ gave that we might have more life and live it more abundantly. Proverbs 14:12 Proverbs 14:12There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
American King James Version×
14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25 Proverbs 16:25There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
American King James Version×
- 16:25 There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end of it is the ways of death. God has to tell us these things multiple times because we don't listen.

Deut. 12:8-9 12:8 You shall not do according to all that we do here today, each doing whatever is right in his own eyes. 12:9 For you have not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which Jehovah your God gives you. Does it sound here like man has always wanted to go off on his own? Deut. 12:30 12:30 take heed to yourself that you do not become snared by following them, after they are destroyed from before you, and that you do not ask about their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods, that I too may do likewise? Stop. Don't go down that road. Colossians 1:27 Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
American King James Version×
1:27 For to them God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory, Philippians 2: 2:5 For let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, Let it be in you. Matthew 7: 7:13 Go in through the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there are who go in through it. 7:14 Because narrow is the gate and constricted is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Many take the wrong road. They never found the map.
