The 2012 US elections have just ended, with many problematic outcomes. Hard times are coming upon all of us, and many have profound anxiety. In addition, tensions are escalating around the world, including the Middle East. We in the Church knew that all these difficult times would come. Are we prepared? We need to be looking to God for help during these difficult times. We need to apply 1 Timothy 2:1-2 to pray for our political leaders. We also need to pray for our brethren and for help to live our Christianity.

Dan Taylor serves as the pastor of the Lubbock, Texas  United Church of God congregation. He is married and he and his wife Corinne have of two children. He formerly served as a writer and head of the research department for the Plain Truth and other other Church publications for 13 years. Prior to serving as pastor he worked in the high tech field for 22 years.
