Peter’s second epistle, urges his “beloved” brethren (of like precious faith) to stay fired up by way of reminders concerning the inspired word written down for us -namely that we will be divine. Peter was eyewitness to the transfiguration of Christ and heard the powerful voice of the Father call Jesus His “beloved” Son. Knowing he would soon die, Peter promised to ensure we would always have a reminder of this beautiful truth -via the preservation of scripture. So, during this dark winter remember that two thousand years later, God is not slack -and Peter has kept his promise. We are to God, beloved crown jewels, precious children, to be adorned for the soon coming Christ as the Bride in true Glory. One way to Keep clean for that day, is to be washed by the Word -which includes the beautiful written word preserved for us in these last days.
