Philip meets the Ethiopian Eunuch and Mordecai admonishes Esther, both serve as direct encouragement and incentive, for all of us, to actively increase in knowledge and understanding, useful to God's purpose. Philip was called upon to meet the Eunuch and 'guide him' into understanding the scriptures; Esther realized her duty in accepting her special calling for a 'specific time'. We, too, are called to become 'guides', 'ready' for when God places us as needed. We must not merely wait to be called upon, we must be actively studying, preparing, and growing in understanding and application of God's Word. For today and tomorrow.
