There is a very common belief among modern religious organizations that claim the name of Christ, that openly state and believe that at the moment of Christ’s death recorded in the Gospel of John, Chapter 19 and verse 30 that when our Lord expressed His final statement of: “It is finished.”,  God was expressing that Christ had finished all the work that needed to be done for any person that claimed Christianity from that moment on.  Their salvation was sure and nothing needed to be engaged in whatsoever for the individual person claiming the name of Christ to do for the remainder of their life.  Once saved, always saved.  Is this the truth that is revealed in the proper context of the canonized Word of God? No it is not. God’s Truth is that the individual Christian has very much to do with the success of their entrance into the Kingdom of God and eternal life.
