Scott Krohn continues his examination of the Laodicean church’s characteristics, focusing on “wretched” and “miserable.” Laodiceans were wretched, enduring great difficulties and stress, but did not have the depth of character to run the race to win. They were miserable to the point of being pitied, not willing to make sufficient sacrifices, in light of Christ’s sacrifice for them.
