2 Chronicles 7:14 Revelation 3:19 Jesus warns in scripture, "Be earnest and repent!" That word repent in the Greek is strong in emphasis: metanoia. Turn around in your thoughts and actions and go the other way.  Correct your course. Was He just talking to wicked sinners out in society?  Drunkards, drug addicts, sexually promiscuous worldly people giving vent to every carnal urge of human flesh?   Much more, it is primarily a warning to those who are called-out Christians to get focused on finding and aiming for True North on our spiritual compasses.  This warning is to us in the Church.   God's way to eternal life is one degree, while there are at least 359 degrees or paths to missing the mark.
