John 1 says Jesus came to his own, but they would not receive him. In this split sermon Rich Schultz first goes through three encounters of Jesus with the Jewish leaders that show this. He then goes through what Jesus said to them in reply. Jesus told them you can not put new wine into old wineskins. They were judging Jesus according to their old established ways. Relating to us today, we need to ask ourselves, are we trying to put God's truth into our old way of life that was well established before our conversion?
