What does the word pilgrim mean to us? Most people associate this word with those who came from England to settle this nation 400 years ago. But the biblical meaning relates to the physical and spiritual meaning of the feast of tabernacles. Those who came from England to this land gave up their old ways to move to a new land to start a new and better life. The meaning of the word pilgrimage refers to a journey made to a sacred place or event as an act of religious devotion. we began our pilgrimage when we came into the church and started a new life. We are seeking promises that God has given us. Our pilgrimage to the feast each year helps us prepare for God's kingdom. We return to our homes after the feast but we still await the completion of our spiritual pilgrimage. Our whole life is a pilgrimage to our future in God's kingdom.
