When Christ returns, the remnant of the children of Israel will be gathered to the Holy Land. Historically, the nation of Israel left Egypt and headed for Mt Sinai where God taught them His way. Later, Hezekiah sent out notice for the remnant of the people to gather in Jerusalem to keep the Feast. They had again lost knowledge of the way of God. King Josiah began to seek the Lord and purged the land of Baal worship – the people had lost knowledge again. God will judge Israel and clean them in the last days. The Lord’s day is coming when God will intervene and there will be a reckoning. The split of the Mt of Olives will allow the remnant to escape from Jerusalem.
