What might we be doing as a nation and as a people.... to have earned where we are... 
(Dan 2:21)  And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.
(Dan 2:22)  He reveals deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, And light dwells with Him.

(Dan 4:17)  'This decision is by the decree of the watchers, And the sentence by the word of the holy ones, In order that the living may know That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men, Gives it to whomever He will, And sets over it the lowest of men.'

(Dan 4:34)  And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom is from generation to generation.
(Dan 4:35)  All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, "What have You done?"
What are the implications and our country at this time... ? Whoever GOD put there... GOD is SOVEREIGN ruler over ALL.

What perspective MUST WE HOLD????
1 -  Regain our PERSONAL trust in God's Sovereignty.
Rom 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
HE has a special plan that takes us OUT OF THIS SOCIETY
(Rom 8:29)  For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
(Rom 8:30)  Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
OUR DESTINY is to become part of the FAMILY OF GOD!!! Not to become high in the democratic party or the GOP... 
HE is offering us ETERNAL LIFE.  DO WE REALLY understand this or are we being sucked into this world, its values and its perspectives??

(Rom 8:31)  What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
(Rom 8:32)  He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
(Rom 8:38)  For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
(Rom 8:39)  nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We have a very special calling: COME OUT OF THIS WORLD.. its values and perspectives to hold onto Christ's perspectives.

(Mat 13:22)  Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.
Can Social Media... become parts of the "CARES of this world"?? Did we convince anyone?  OR do you hold onto GOD's Viewpoint? BECOME LIKE my Son Jesus and stop PLAYING GAMES.

2 - We are very blessed to be living in the USA!!!  But OUR CITIZENSHIP with all it entails is IN HEAVEN!!! DO WE fully understand this??  Do we truly grasp??

MOst coveted in his day: ROMAN CITIZENSHIP.  He is writing to Philippians a ROMAN City. It was hard for Christians due to EMPEROR Worship... you can worship any god but ONLY AFTER you worship the Emperor also.
(Php 3:20)  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
(Php 3:21)  who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Will we allow ourselves to be sucked into the system.... ?? I FEEL Like a stranger. I no longer belong here. Its values are no longer my values. WE are a nation that has lost its way in all ways we examine. THIS IS NOT THE Country I grew up in !!!

(Eph 2:19)  Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,
(1Pe 2:9)  But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

OUR calling is worth infinitely MORE than 1 million dollars... the UNIVERSE is our inheritance. Do we take THIS FOR GRANTED??

WE often do not appreciate the ENORMITY of what GOD is offering !!!

(1Pe 2:10)  who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.
(1Pe 2:11)  Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul,
(1Pe 2:12)  having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.
""They were ambassadors, mem bers of the Kingdom of God among us... "" ... or are we dipping our foot continually in the "waters" of this society?

1Jn 2:15  Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 
1Jn 2:16  For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. 
1Jn 2:17  And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. 

Do not think: MY LORD delays His coming !!!!  EVERY passing day brings us closer to the Return of Jesus Christ!

Are we making THE MOST of the Opportunity GOD is offerning us??

3 - REFOCUS on our REAL MISSION HERE !!!

(Mat 6:33)  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
THIS is our priority, our focus, our personal mission.  Notice, show the LOVE of God and do not get tangled in the workings of this world. 

We are "doulos"... a bond slave at the total whim of their master.  THIS IS WHAT we signed up for... are we submitting to HIM...

Eph 1:15  Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, 
Eph 1:16  do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: 
Eph 1:17  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, 
Eph 1:18  the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 
Eph 1:19  and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power 
Eph 1:20  which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 
Eph 1:21  far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. 

Christ is ABOVE ALL but the Father!!!
(Eph 1:22)  And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,
(Eph 1:23)  which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

Our situation with THE KINGDOM OF GOD being put FIRST
(Rev 1:3)  Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
(Rev 1:4)  John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne,
(Rev 1:5)  and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

OUR KING died for us. How many Presidents have done the same? They are good to send young men out to DIE... 

Christ will be ruler, it will be HIS KINGSHIP. Absolute MONARCHY. 
He will be HEAD over all. Those on Thrones will judge and administer from the foundations of GOD's LAW... 

God's government holds promise of perfection, real justice, real love for the citizens, real comfort of heart and soul... 

HOW do we demonstrate our TRUST in God's Sovereignty? HOW do we refocus our minds in our real Mission.
 YOU and your influence as an INDIVIDUAL is profound in other's lives. 
PREACH the gospel. Are you doing that with YOUR LIFE ??!!!!f

Mat 28:18  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 
Mat 28:19  Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 
Mat 28:20  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. 

We are to become LIKE HIM!!!

4 - WE need to resolve to give our leaders RESPECT and our PRAYERS!
Submission to the Authorities
Rom 13:1  Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 
Rom 13:2  Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 
Rom 13:3  For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 
Rom 13:4  For he is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God's minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 
Rom 13:5  Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience' sake. 
Rom 13:6  For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God's ministers attending continually to this very thing. 
Rom 13:7  Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. 

These are COMMANDS... 
The capabilities of our government to spy on us...  to know and RECORD ALL WE SAY everywhere...

We are to give our leaders the respect they are due because they are leaders.
1Pe 2:13  Therefore submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake, whether to the king as supreme, 
1Pe 2:14  or to governors, as to those who are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and for the praise of those who do good. 
1Pe 2:15  For this is the will of God, that by doing good you may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men—
1Pe 2:16  as free, yet not using liberty as a cloak for vice, but as bondservants of God. 

The laws that do not conflict with God's law must be obeyed... speed limits. parking, taxes.... 

They tried to trick Jesus, 
Mat 22:15  Then the Pharisees went and plotted how they might entangle Him in His talk. 
Mat 22:16  And they sent to Him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that You are true, and teach the way of God in truth; nor do You care about anyone, for You do not regard the person of men. 
Mat 22:17  Tell us, therefore, what do You think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?" 
Mat 22:18  But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test Me, you hypocrites? 
Mat 22:19  Show Me the tax money." So they brought Him a denarius. 
Mat 22:20  And He said to them, "Whose image and inscription is this?" 
Mat 22:21  They said to Him, "Caesar's." And He said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." 
Mat 22:22  When they had heard these words, they marveled, and left Him and went their way. 

Rom 13:7  Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. {{NERO was emperor}}
Fulfilling the Law Through Love
Rom 13:8  Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. 

(1Pe 2:17)  Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.
This is fairly straightforward.... 
People denigrated all the Presidents I lived under... 

Jud 1:8  Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. 
Jud 1:9  Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" 
Jud 1:10  But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 
Michael's example... 

Tit 3:1  Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, 
Tit 3:2  to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. 
Tit 3:3  For we ourselves were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. 
SOCIAL media to proclaim our view and mindset... or???

1Ti 2:1  Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 
1Ti 2:2  for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 
1Ti 2:3  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 
1Ti 2:4  who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 

We kind of Gospel are we PREACHING in our lives, privately and publicly? 
2Pe 2:4  For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment; 
2Pe 2:5  and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly; 
2Pe 2:6  and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly; 
2Pe 2:7  and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked 
2Pe 2:8  (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—
2Pe 2:9  then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment, 
2Pe 2:10  and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries, 
2Pe 2:11  whereas angels, who are greater in power and might, do not bring a reviling accusation against them before the Lord. 
2Pe 2:12  But these, like natural brute beasts made to be caught and destroyed, speak evil of the things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption, 
2Pe 2:13  and will receive the wages of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, carousing in their own deceptions while they feast with you, 
2Pe 2:14  having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children. 

IS THIS US... or are we so caught up in this world that we can NOT see in God's Perspective and what HE has called us to do and how to live?

Joseph fled and GOD blessed him... HE KNOWS how to deliver us... 
They are over us to teach us lessons... 

2Pe 2:15  They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 
2Pe 2:16  but he was rebuked for his iniquity: a dumb donkey speaking with a man's voice restrained the madness of the prophet. 
2Pe 2:17  These are wells without water, clouds carried by a tempest, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. 
2Pe 2:18  For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. 
ARE we in this mindset? IF SO, we must REPENT in what it means FULLY.

We are to be PEACEMAKERS... 

(Mat 5:9)  Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.

Mat 5:43  "You have heard that it was said, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR and hate your enemy.' 
Mat 5:44  But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, 
Mat 5:45  that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 
Mat 5:46  For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same? 
Mat 5:47  And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 
Mat 5:48  Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. 
 IS THIS OUR Normal response or we WANT SOME VENGEANCE??

The process of becoming just like Jesus Christ.

Isa 9:6  For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 
Isa 9:7  Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. 

2Co 5:20  Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. 
2Co 5:21  For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 

WE REPRESENT HIM as our RULER.  Do we abide by His rulership? Do we represent HIM appropriately???

(Jas 3:13)  Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
(Jas 3:14)  But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth.
(Jas 3:15)  This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic.
(Jas 3:16)  For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.
(Jas 3:17)  But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy.
(Jas 3:18)  Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

THIS DOES NOT DESCRIBE what is happening in SOCIAL MEDIA... !!

God called us to be PEACEMAKERS. Does this describe us in all we say and do??
As we reflect in this election, let us renew our TRUST IN GOD's Sovereignty. HE set up this man at this point in History for HIS PURPOSE. 

We need to reaffirm our citizenship which is IN HEAVEN. 

REFOCUS in our primary mission. What does it take for us to get there?

MIchael Angelo chiseled out everything that was not HIS Statue as he imagined it.  Are we allowing GOD to chisel us also?

(1Ti 6:12)  Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
(1Ti 6:13)  I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate,
(1Ti 6:14)  that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing,
(1Ti 6:15)  which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords,
(1Ti 6:16)  who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.

THIS IS A RULER we can truly get behind and fully support.
