The New Testament writers are consistent in describing the Christian life as a journey of endurance with the reward of salvation at the end of the race. Despite this consistent theme, many view eternal salvation, or being saved, as something that is rewarded to believers at the starting line. We will examine the "Once Saved; Always Saved" doctrine in light of the scriptures actually do say.
