We emphasize the fact that the holy days reveal God’s plan of salvation for man, but there is much more than that we need to understand about what it means to us in our everyday lives. There are various significant factors associated with each feast or holy day—the physical event, the doctrinal parallel, the prophetic progression and/or the literal fulfillment associated with each holy day. In this sermon, you will gain a deeper understanding of the spiritual significance and meaning of all of God’s holy days and their importance in our daily lives. The Day of Trumpets heralds a pivotal change in God’s interactions in the affairs of this world. The world will not recognize the warning voice of the trumpet when it sounds, but that should not happen to us!

Before his retirement in 2021, Dr. Donald Ward pastored churches in Texas and Louisiana, and taught at Ambassador Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio. He has also served as chairman of the Council of Elders of the United Church of God. He holds a BS degree; a BA in theology; a MS degree; a doctor’s degree in education from East Texas State University; and has completed 18 hours of graduate theology from SMU.
